Welcome to Florida Knights of Pythias

Welcome to the Sunshine State, Knights of Pythias. Founded on February 19, 1864, in Washington, D.C., the Knights of Pythias was the first fraternal order to be chartered by an act of the United States Congress. Rooted in the timeless values of Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence, our Order has brought men together for over 160 years to build bonds of brotherhood, serve their communities, and live out the knightly principles of honor and service.

The Grand Lodge of Florida has carried this legacy forward since its formation in 1870, uniting men across our state in fellowship, charity, and a shared commitment to uplifting others. Whether through community service, charitable programs, or the lifelong friendships we build, the Knights of Pythias continues to inspire hope and strengthen communities throughout Florida.

The Grand Lodge of Florida was chartered in 1880, beginning with the first lodge established in Tallahassee. Since 1880, over 200 lodges have been chartered in the state of Florida.
